Vivian Luk Atelier

After graduating from Parsons School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, Vivian began her career with Vera Wang, specializing in Bridal and Celebrity Made-to-Order, creating iconic red-carpet gowns. In 2008, Vivian returned to Hong Kong to establish her label, known for captivating presentations. Vivian Luk Atelier has crafted couture gowns for luminaries such as Guo Jing Jing, Jennifer Cheng, Cathy Lee, and Emily Lam. Building on this bespoke legacy, her Ready-to-Wear has commanded editorial presence across Asia.

Her fascination with psychology drew her to fashion - the ability to influence emotions and gestures through what we wear. To her, clothing is both armour and expression: a shield from the outside world and a way to reveal our inner selves. Couture, at its highest level, can be exuberant or stripped to pure essence, resonating only with the discerning eye. This philosophy is reflected in her use of structured fabrics balanced with hidden craftsmanship - boning, wiring, handwork, and precise grain cutting - that transform fabric into something fluid and alive. “My collection carries all the intricacies of couture, yet without needing to place everything on the surface. Only the skilful few will recognize what lies beneath a quiet exterior.”

Her Ready-To-Wear continues this dialogue, with asymmetrical and diagonal lines that wrap the body, guiding the gaze in a never-ending composition.
